Yoga for Life
Yoga shares a close relationship with meditation. As a Western practice yoga is primarily used for controlled physical movements building strength and flexibility. Culturally, we are familiar with 2 of the eight classic elements of yoga which are the physical poses (asanas) and breath control (pranayama). Yoga also encompasses meditation (dhyana), though, it is not typically practiced in contemporary yoga classes or featured in yoga videos.
Yoga as a Whole
Yoga practice has been going on for thousands of years, originating primarily in Asia. It was used to create a better connection from the corporeal body to the soul and universe forming a balance. Yoga as a whole is about exercise, breath and sensory control, observance, concentration, meditation and bliss.
Yoga Wellness
Incorporating yoga in your life, with or without meditation, will start the physical, mental and spiritual healing. Yoga calms the hectic, eliminates the clutter and allows us to get in touch with our true selves.
I Could Never Meditate
Those who are fidgety and believe they cannot sit still for longer than 5 minutes usually acquiesce to meditation through yoga. The controlled movements provide a mental crutch in which they can focus the mind.
